Positive Confession
("The entire course of nature and the circumstances surrounding every human being are controlled by that person's tongue." K. Copeland, The Power of the Tongue, P.19)
But the Bible says:
I Corinthians 4:11 "Even to the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten and homeless.
II Corinthians 12:10 "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
James 5:16 "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed."
I Thessalonians 2:18 "Therefore we wanted to come to you - even I, Paul, time and again - BUT SATAN HINDERED US."
Jeremiah 10:23 "O Lord,I know the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps."
II Corinthians 6:4,5 "But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fasting ... as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as hiving nothing, and yet possessing all things."
Pentecostals say that they have the ability to determine their destiny by their will but the Bible says…
John 6:65 "Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father."
John 15:16 "You did not chose Me, but I chose you ...
John 17:9 "I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are yours."
Romans 9:16 "So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.
Daniel 4:35 "All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according the His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand or say to Him, "What have You done?"
Romans 9:16-20 "So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, 'Even for this same purpose I have raised you up, that I might show My power in you, and that My name might be declared in all the earth.' Therefore, He has mercy on whom He wills, and who He wills He hardens. You will say to me then, 'Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?' But indeed, 0 man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, 'Why have you made me like this?'"
Harmony and order in worship
2 Corinthians 14:13 “Because God does not want us to be worshiped in disorder but in harmony and peace”
Pentecostals hate this verse because their churches are the most disorganized places, this is especially so when it comes to the time of prayers, speaking in tongues (the fake tongues) and dancing. The verse puts them out of the line.
